Lack of effective academic mentoring at collegiate level from high school to finishing college was a big obstacle .Sometimes ,you may check up all this steps and still not good enough because you may not be viewed holistically in your achievement but rather be viewed with ranking number eyeglasses .

Absolutely informative, thought-provoking and action-inspiring work. Thank you Dr. Dale, contributors and creators for creating this film. Like me, I've no doubt that others will be encouraged in their medical career path walks. I acknowledge and respond to the call to action. Everyone else must do the same. And do this they must not just for the betterment of the Black African American community but for enlightenment and improvement for the shared community. Representation is a must. Thank you for this effort. Absolutely well done!

Very thought provoking. As a white female nurse of 30 plus years I have never considered the comfort a black man, young or old, would have with another black man working as their doctor. Yet I prefer a female doctor over a male! Very interesting movie

As an educator, this documentary gives me a sense of urgency to provide black male students and all students opportunities and access to role models, quality education, and resources that will prepare them to become doctors. The dream to become a doctor must begin early on, nurtured, and encouraged by the school system. There needs to be a positive belief system that supports black students becoming doctors and develop a pathway to success. We cannot continue to be discouraged by the financial, educational, and institutional barriers to becoming a doctor.
